Mornings Light Reviver

The morning after... the lazy day that follows a night of celebrations and joyous imbibing, until we could imbibe no more.  The morning after has inspired the great pick-me-up cocktails, like the Bloody Mary and Corpse Reviver.  We sometimes call it “Hair of the Dog” when fending the malaise from the night before by throwing at it a bit more drink.  We have all been there and should this holiday season find you in this situation, we have just the cure.  We have for you, the Mornings Light Reviver.  While some will suggest strong drink to numb the suffering we looked to combine ingredient that help to rejuvenate ones sense and ease one back into the light of day.  Cheers to the Morning After!

Mornings Light Reviver

In a shaker glass filled with ice add:

  • ½ Ounce Well-Bred Vodka
  • ½ Ounce Cointreau
  • ½ Ounce Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 2 Ounces Chilled Chamomile Tea (steeped strong)
  • 2 Ounces of Coconut Water
  • ½ Ounce Honey Simple Syrup*
  • 1 Teaspoon of Pasteurized Egg White (Optional)

Shake until painfully cold and frothy.  Strain into a tall Collins glass filled with fresh cracked ice.  Garnish with a generous sprig of fresh mint and a tall straw.

*Honey Simple Syrup

  • ½  Cup Water
  • ½ Cup Honey

Bring water to a light simmer constantly stirring to incorporate the honey.  Cool and put up in a sterile glass bottle.  Refrigerated syrup should keep 7-10 days.
